Happy Thursday cutie gals! I'm halfway through the first week of the holidays, and I've simply had such a wonderful and restful time! I've been doing a lot of sewing, but on Tuesday, I had the pleasure of going out with one of my friends from school, Sofia!

Angelic Pretty Inspired Gyaru Miniskirt - Sewing Tutorial

Angelic Pretty Inspired Gyaru Miniskirt - Sewing Tutorial

Hello cutie gals! It's finally the holidays! It has been a really long term, and I am really looking forward to a break and finally having time to craft! I finished school on Wednesday and won't be going back for another sixteen days yippee~
So for today's tutorial, we're going to be making a gyaru version of this adorable angelic pretty skirt that is suitable for so many types of gyaru, just change the fabric you use!
This skirt features a half elastic waistband, so the front of the skirt's waistband is smooth, while the back is elasticised, I think this always looks super neat, and it's one of my favourite techniques.
Another feature of this skirt is the scalloped layer, which is sooo easy to do but adds 2d shape amazingly!

Easy & Sweet Button Hairbow tutorial

Easy & Sweet Button Hairbow tutorial

Hello hello cutie gals!
It's getting close to the end of term now, and I have a little more time on my hands now yippee yippee yay~
Today I'll show you how to make this super sweet hairbow. You might be able to tell, but I made it out of the scraps left over from my Himekaji Bolero Tutorial, so it's a nice way to make an outift coordinate better as well as use up the last bits of fabric that are too large to throw away but too small to use on a new project.

Himekaji Bolero Sewing Tutorial

Hi cutie gals! It's been so long since I've made a post! In fact, the last time I posted was the day before term started, and now, it's week 6 (I think) and all my assessments are nearly over!
So, today I'll be giving you a super super cute and really easy sewing tutorial for this bolero inspired by this DearMyLove garment:

This project is really quite simple and quick to do, I'd say you could have it done in a few hours! So let's start cutie gals!

A week of tutoring outfits

A Week Of Outfits - Holiday Tutoring Edition!

Hi cutie gals! Another post! Third one this week! And one will be coming on Sunday too!

I'm feeding you well now because...school begins on Tuesday...so you might have to fast, or at least go on a water diet.

Anyways, as I do each holidays, I have been attending english tutoring at matrix 🥲 it's Monday - Thursday for two hours in the morning. It's really handy though, so I don't mind.

It's also a way for me to get out of the house and get dressed up, which I haven't really done much up until this holidays. Normally, my holidays are pretty isolated buuu~

I also wanted to try the outfit check format that was pretty standard for gyaru blogs where they'd say where each thing was from, except mine is all just Australian stores 🙄

Liz Lisa Style Dress Sewing Tutorial

Liz Lisa Style Dress Sewing Tutorial

Happy easter cutie gals!
Finally exams are over and the term has come to a close, and I've been able to spend lot's of time sewing. Because I will have so much time over the holidays, I'm going to try pre-prepare tutorials then, so I can post consistently for you all during term!

Anyways, today I'll be teaching you how to make this beautiful dress, which is a pretty similar copy to this dress from a Liz Lisa 2009 release. This dress was so cute, I chose to wear it as my Easter Sunday dress, paired with a super cute bow.

I've seen many different versions of it, but sometimes its hard to tell which are replicas and which are just using the same fabric but in a different cut.

This dress is absolutely delectable, as i've made it with a very handy elasticated/faux smocked back, a gathered skirt and lace fagoting on the sleeves and close to the skirt hem.

Overall, the construction of this dress is quite straightforward, as we are not adding a zipper in or doing anything fancy with the sleeves (though you can if you'd like!), but it is the pattern drafting which is a bit tricky.

If you've never ever drafted a pattern yourself before and aren't familiar with the general idea of how different pieces would be shaped, I honestly wouldn't recommend doing this, but if you've used a commercial pattern or made your own bodice block before, I reckon you'll get the hang of this easy.
