Gyaru Meet @ Hyde Park With Sydney Gals!
。 ₊°༺ ♡ ༻°₊ 。
Look at all those gorgeous gals!!! I don't think I've ever seen a gyarusa outside of Japan so big! At one point, there was almost 30 of us, but only 25 of us are pictured here 😔
Last Friday, I had the magnificent opportunity to go to a Sydney gal meet at Hyde Park, and I made sooooo many amazing friends from all over Sydney and of all different ages. My day was filled to the brim with smiling, eating sweets and attempting to do many different parapara dances.
This past week, I'd been attending tutoring Monday-Thursday, so I was extremely eager to go out and have some fun since I hadn't actually gone out these holidays since my first Day Out Diaries with N and Apple at karaoke.
The Thursday before the gal meet was HECTIC, as I only had half a day to make a dessert and make the skirt I wanted to wear, which I'll be releasing the tutorial for sometime next week.
Anyways, I made these super pink and girly marshmallows from Two Sugar Bugs. I was going to do one from Taste, but the recipe had some pretty poor reviews and this recipe was sooooo easy to do.
I ended up with these absolutely adorable treats, so I was pretty happy. I had some leftover, and I'm eating some right now for morning tea 😁 (but with a fork because they're so sticky and I wanna type).
When Friday morning came, I was sooooo excited, but I hadn't finished making my hairbow yet, so I was a bit delayed in getting ready...🥲
Only the actual hairbow was new, the rose and pearl parts were recycled from a bow I made for the Twice concert in November, but it's sooo cute nevertheless.
Like I have many times before, I spent ages curling my hair, but I think it's just too long and too damaged to hold a curl, so I ended up with only fifteen minutes to do my makeup and pack my bag.
I'm not going to lie, I was a little embarrassed of my makeup at the meet. I didn't even put any highlighter on or contour my nose 😭 if anyone from the meet is reading this, I promise I'm trying to improve, I'm just very unskilled at makeup.
Unfortunately, I started to get super nervous as I was about to leave. I was very unsure about going, and was afraid I wouldn't be gal enough to go, which led me to miss my train. And because I live in the middle of nowhere, the next one wouldn't come until half an hour later, so I took that time to compose myself and fix my makeup.
Luckily!! I did get the courage to go, and once I got on the train, all (most...not quite all) my worries were dissolved, and I was excited. I had a bit of a photoshoot on the train~ no one came into the carriage until I got to Gordon, which was surprising but lucky for me!I also took lots of selfies and finally got one good one to have as my pfp on my social medias!
My outfit for the day was Agejo style, and I made the top, skirt, hairbows and shoes. I'll be putting tutorials up for the top and skirt soon, but the shoe decorating tutorial is here.
As I went up the escalator to Kinokuniya and saw about 15 girls with big lashes, furry leg warmers and bright white nose stripes, I could not even describe the feeling of joy I felt within my heart. I was greeted by the lovely Rihanna (rix.xss) and soon enough found my feet talking to all the gals, even though my hands and legs were shaking 😅
I was so lucky to be given this ADORABLE sticker designed by Rae (raerawrs), I wish I were as cute as this sticker, but I'm inspired now~
Walking through Town Hall and St James as a massive group of gals playing "follow the leader" was certainly an experience, but we also spotted a few other alternative people about, and once we settled at Hyde Park, everyone was in a fantastic mood.
We started learning the Parapara, "It may be there", but we couldn't find the song on Spotify!! Curse you, Japanese copyright laws 👿, so Audri (cdbaby8) and Annika (j.nakina) started teaching us "Night of Fire" parapara
It was quite busy at the park, and anyone who walked past us was staring at us. We all felt a bit like zoo animals, but diva ones, like flamingos~
We also met a super adorable puppy dog who got all the love from us!I took so many pictures this day, I honestly cannot put them all in here!
There was a big range of substyles; everyone was so unique and cool.
I can't wait for the next meet, and this past one has fulfilled me to push through to start school!
Doesn't everyone's makeup and hair look so good?? I'm jealous, I need to practice more!
These three cuties are Rihanna (rix.xss), Patch (pxtchiii_555) and Natasha (silenced_hare1). They are all the cutest ladies ever!! But I have no idea how they weren't absolutely MELTING in those coats! I was sweating away all my makeup and I had my shoulders out!
I was so lucky to meet and learn a parapara with Alyssa (gyaaly_03), Audri (cdbaby8) and Annika (j.nakina), they're all so kind and fashionable!! I was blushing~ they're too gorgeous, I felt shy and stumbled over my words. Annika and Audri are also absolute QUEENS of parapara. I looked like a foal next to them 🥸
I tried playing photographer for a bit, but I don't think I gave all these gorgeous girls justice!
Erin (erinxwhiteley) and Nezy (nezygal) looked so good representing two sides of the gyaru fashion spectrum!
Oli (Playboifarti30) and Eli (ai1icec) are such a cute couple, aren't they? They were the nicest girls ever!Like before, I was so charmed by all of the girls' beauty; they have such enviable makeup skills and fantastic hair!
| silenced_hare1 - she looks fantastic 🤩 |
| nezygal - she's such a baddie ah!!! 🥹 |
Our amazing group photo, which I will cherish for the rest of my life!
On Thursday.
😭😭😭
Hopefully, I'll be able to post at least once every two weeks, even when I go back to school!
